Buying a Home can be an overwhelming and daunting undertaking.  Let my experience and buyer tools ease the headache and simplify the process.  With my support and guidance, you will feel confident in your home purchase.

Let’s get started with my 7-step home buying process today.

1. Meet in Person and Create a Wishlist.

Let’s decide if we will make a good team.  Bring your questions and we will meet together for a Buyer Interview.  Once you’re ready to work together, we will create a home wishlist and a plan to start your home search.

2.  Get Pre-qualified for a Home Loan.

I’ll introduce you to our favorite mortgage lenders, who will help determine your budget.  They will do a review of your finances and decide how much you can borrow to buy your home.  Without a pre-qualification, you cannot submit offers on homes.  This is an important step!

3.  Set up Home Search Notifications.

I will set you up a saved search based off your home wishlist.  As soon as a property that fits your criteria hits the market, your email will receive a listing alert.  You can look at pictures, pricing, location, and other relevant information.  If you see a property you like, contact me and I will set up a tour and answer any questions you may have.

3. Schedule Home Tours.

We will start touring the homes you liked from your listing alerts. We will talk about pricing and other terms to decide if the house is right for you. During the tour, ask yourself:  “Can I picture myself living here?” If the answer is Yes, now is the time to make an offer.

4.  Submit an Offer and Negotiate.

Once you love a home, I will write-up your offer and present it to the listing agent.  The seller can choose to accept, counter, or reject. I will guide you through the whole negotiation.  When the offer is accepted, it is time to inspect and get your financing in order!

5.  Inspection, Appraisal, and Insurance.

The seller has accepted your offer.  Now it is time to decide if you want to move forward! You will hire an inspector to evaluate the property and to find any major issues.  An Appraiser will value the property to make sure the purchase price and valuation match.  You will call insurance companies to secure a policy on the property.  If everything looks good, we can head to closing!

6.  Time to Close and Move In!

Almost time to start celebrating! We will schedule a final walk-through and then you will start signing (a lot) of final paperwork.  Make sure to bring your ID and down payment.  Once the money is clear, you are officially a home owner! Time to move in!
